gabexate

Gabexate is a synthetic small molecule serine protease inhibitor primarily indicated for the treatment of acute pancreatitis and disseminated intravascular coagulation. It acts by inhibiting several serine proteases, including trypsin, plasmin, plasma kallikrein, and thrombin, which are key enzymes in the inflammatory and coagulation pathways[2][4][8]. Gabexate also suppresses the production of inflammatory cytokines by attenuating NF-kappaB and c-Jun N-terminal kinase (JNK) pathway activity.
