Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GAIA-121 is an antibody-armed NK-like cell therapy currently in preclinical development by GAIA BioMedicine Inc. for the treatment of undisclosed tumors. The therapy is based on GAIA's proprietary platform that expands NK-like cells from peripheral blood. These cells are subsequently 'armed' with a specific antibody targeting an undisclosed tumor-associated antigen, referred to as Target A. This approach is designed to enhance the specificity and cytotoxic potency of the NK-like cells, directing them to recognize and eliminate tumor cells that express the specific antigen while leveraging the cells' innate anti-tumor activity. By combining the innate anti-tumor capabilities of NK-like cells with the precision of antibody targeting, GAIA-121 aims to provide a more effective treatment option for cancers expressing the specific target antigen.
