GAIA-121-125 (E+) is a preclinical-stage allogeneic cell therapy developed by GAIA BioMedicine, a spin-off from Kyushu University. The therapy is built upon the proprietary GAAAP (GAIA Antibody-Armed Activated PBMC) platform, which involves the expansion of NK-like cells derived from peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) and subsequently arming them with proprietary antibodies. This approach enables the cells to specifically target tumor cells expressing a proprietary, undisclosed antigen designated as 'E+'. Unlike traditional CAR-T or CAR-NK therapies, the GAAAP platform does not require genetic modification of the cells. GAIA-121-125 (E+) is administered intravenously and is intended for the treatment of solid tumors that express the E+ antigen.
