Overview
Galgeunhaegi-tang (GHT) is a traditional Korean herbal medicine formula prescribed within Sasang constitutional medicine for the Taeeumin (TE) body type, specifically to treat Interior Heat patterns. The formula is a multi-herb decoction typically containing *Pueraria lobata* (Galgeun), *Scutellaria baicalensis*, *Ligusticum tenuissimum* (Gobon), *Platycodon grandiflorum*, and *Angelica dahurica*, among others. It is designed to resolve heat depression (鬱熱) and accompanying dryness (燥). Clinical and preclinical research has explored its potential in inhibiting tumor progression in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), managing trigeminal neuralgia, and modulating immune responses. As a botanical preparation, it exerts multi-target effects, including anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activities, and is commonly administered as an oral decoction or in granule form.
