Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**galicaftor + ABBV-576** is an investigational triple combination therapy for the treatment of cystic fibrosis, specifically targeting patients who are homozygous or heterozygous for the F508del mutation in CFTR. Galicaftor and ABBV-576 are both small molecule cystic fibrosis transmembrane conductance regulator (CFTR) modulators, designed to improve the function of defective CFTR protein caused by genetic mutations. Clinical trials are evaluating this combination as a once-daily oral therapy for cystic fibrosis. Galicaftor is also known as ABBV-2222, and ABBV-576 is a discrete CFTR modulator developed by AbbVie[1][2][3][4][5][6].
