Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**galinpepimut-S + Montanide** is a cancer vaccine immunotherapy combining galinpepimut-S, a multivalent WT1 (Wilms Tumor 1) peptide vaccine, with Montanide as an adjuvant. Galinpepimut-S consists of four synthetic peptides designed to elicit a strong CD4+ and CD8+ T-cell response against WT1, a protein frequently overexpressed in various cancers, aiming to generate durable cancer-specific immunity. Montanide, an immunologic adjuvant, is used to enhance the vaccine's immunogenicity. The combination is administered after standard treatment, such as surgery and chemotherapy, in patients with cancers including malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM), acute myeloid leukemia (AML), multiple myeloma, and others. Clinical trials have shown it to be well-tolerated and associated with improved progression-free and overall survival compared to adjuvant alone.
