Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Galli Eo is a Germanium-68/Gallium-68 (68Ge/68Ga) generator system developed by IRE ELiT and distributed in Canada by Isologic Innovative Radiopharmaceuticals. It functions as a radiopharmacy device that elutes sterile gallium chloride (68Ga) solution, which is produced through the radioactive decay of its parent isotope, Germanium-68. This eluate is used for the in vitro radiolabeling of various radiopharmaceutical ligands, which are then utilized as tracers in positron emission tomography (PET) imaging, particularly in oncology applications. The system is designed as a closed, self-shielded unit, providing a reliable on-site source of the short-lived Gallium-68 radionuclide for diagnostic procedures in nuclear medicine. It received a Notice of Compliance from Health Canada in December 2019.
