Galliator is a Germanium-68/Gallium-68 (68Ge/68Ga) generator developed by Chengdu New Radiomedicine Technology. It serves as a diagnostic imaging tool by providing a continuous supply of gallium-68, a short-lived positron-emitting radioisotope (half-life of approximately 68 minutes). Gallium-68 is widely utilized in positron emission tomography (PET) for labeling various molecular targeting agents, such as PSMA ligands for prostate cancer imaging and somatostatin analogs for neuroendocrine tumor detection. The generator utilizes the long-lived parent isotope Germanium-68 (half-life of approximately 271 days) adsorbed onto a column, from which the daughter isotope Gallium-68 is eluted for immediate radiopharmaceutical synthesis.
