Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**GamCoviMab** is an investigational intravenous anti-SARS-CoV-2 antibody cocktail developed by the Gamaleya National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology. It contains two humanized single-domain neutralizing antibody components, GamP2C5 and GamXRH19, directed against the receptor-binding domain of the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein. By binding the viral spike receptor-binding domain, the antibodies are intended to neutralize SARS-CoV-2 and prevent viral entry into host cells. The product has been studied for early etiotropic treatment of confirmed COVID-19 and has also been described by its developer as a candidate for prevention of coronavirus infection.
