Overview
GamFluVac is a recombinant viral vector vaccine developed for the prevention of influenza A. It utilizes a non-replicating human adenovirus serotype 5 (rAd5) vector expressing hemagglutinin (HA) antigens from influenza viruses, and is administered intranasally. The vaccine aims to induce broad-spectrum immunity against influenza A by stimulating both mucosal and systemic immune responses. In phase I clinical trials, it demonstrated favorable safety and immunogenicity profiles, with no serious adverse events reported and significant increases in specific IgG antibody titers observed after vaccination. The vaccine was developed by the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology named after N.F. Gamaleya (Gamaleya Institute), with additional patenting or technology involvement from NT Pharma (China). Clinical development has included at least one phase I trial in healthy adults[6][8].
