Gamisoyosan (also known as Kamishoyosan or Jiawei Xiaoyao San) is a traditional East Asian herbal formula composed of ten medicinal plants, including *Bupleurum chinense*, *Paeonia lactiflora*, and *Angelica sinensis*. It is an augmented version of the classic Xiaoyao San formula, with the addition of *Gardenia jasminoides* and *Paeonia suffruticosa* to enhance its heat-clearing and blood-cooling effects. Widely used in Kampo medicine (standardized as TJ-24) and Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is primarily indicated for the management of menopausal symptoms, such as hot flashes and insomnia, as well as mood disorders like anxiety and depression.
