This multi-functional topical skincare regimen is a bilayering serum and cream formulation developed by Hasanuddin University. It combines four active ingredients: Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA) at 3%, Dimethylaminoethanol (DMAE) at 2%, Cysteamine at 2.5%, and Bakuchiol at 1%. The regimen is designed to address both skin aging and hyperpigmentation. GABA is included for its potential to reduce wrinkles through muscle-relaxing effects, while DMAE is intended to improve skin firmness. Cysteamine acts as a potent skin-whitening agent by inhibiting melanin synthesis, and Bakuchiol serves as a natural, less irritating alternative to retinol for collagen stimulation and anti-aging. The formulation is currently being evaluated in Phase 2 clinical trials for its efficacy in improving skin brightness and reducing visible signs of aging.
