Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gamma-HI is a preclinical-stage vaccine candidate developed by GPN Vaccines, specifically designed to prevent infections and exacerbations caused by *Haemophilus influenzae* in adults with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). The vaccine utilizes GPN's proprietary gamma-irradiation platform, which inactivates whole bacterial cells while preserving the structural integrity of surface antigens. This approach aims to induce a broad, serotype-independent immune response against various strains of *H. influenzae*, addressing the limitations of current conjugate vaccines that are often limited to specific serotypes. By maintaining highly conserved surface proteins in their native state, Gamma-HI is intended to provide protective immunity across a wide range of relevant antigens.
