Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ganhuokangsheng granules is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation developed by the Affiliated Hospital of Shandong University of TCM. It is specifically formulated to treat the TCM syndrome of hyperactivity of liver fire (Gan Huo Kang Sheng), which is associated with early-stage hypertensive symptoms. The granules are being evaluated for their ability to provide vascular protection in individuals with high-normal blood pressure (pre-hypertension) and increased arterial stiffness. Clinical research focuses on its impact on carotid-femoral pulse wave velocity (cfPWV) and other markers of vascular health, aiming to prevent the transition to clinical hypertension.
