Overview
Ganji is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation composed of 14 herbal extracts, primarily investigated as an adjuvant therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) patients who have undergone surgery. Clinical studies suggest it can improve postoperative cumulative survival and prolong the time to disease progression (TTP) in HCC patients. Its proposed mechanisms of action include inhibiting cell proliferation and migration, inducing apoptosis, and regulating the cell cycle, potentially through the inhibition of the PI3K/Akt signaling pathway and down-regulation of ARPP-19 expression. It is also believed to have beneficial effects on spleen detoxification and general anticancer functions.
