Ganoderma lucidum spores are the reproductive cells of the Ganoderma lucidum fungus, a staple in traditional medicine known as Reishi or Lingzhi. These spores are rich in bioactive compounds, including triterpenoids and polysaccharides, which possess significant immunomodulatory, anti-inflammatory, and anti-allergic activities. In clinical applications for persistent allergic rhinitis, the spores are utilized to stabilize mast cells and suppress the production of inflammatory cytokines and histamine.
