Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Gulin Gansu tablets (also known as Gansu tablets or 肝苏片) are a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) product developed and marketed by Pharmesis International. The drug is derived from the plant *Penthorum chinense* Pursh, which is traditionally used in China for its liver-protecting and bile-promoting properties. It is indicated for the treatment of acute and chronic hepatitis, cholecystitis, and various liver and gallbladder disorders. The therapeutic effect is attributed to its ability to reduce liver enzyme levels (such as ALT and AST), protect hepatocytes from oxidative stress and inflammation, and facilitate the flow of bile. It is an established, approved pharmaceutical product in the Chinese market, available in both tablet and granule formulations.
