Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Ganyanshu decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by Longhua Hospital of the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. It is specifically designed for the postoperative management of patients with hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) to reduce the risk of tumor recurrence and metastasis. Like many TCM decoctions, it is a complex mixture of bioactive compounds that likely exert therapeutic effects through multiple pathways, including inhibition of tumor cell proliferation and enhancement of the host immune response. It is currently being evaluated in clinical trials in China for its efficacy and safety in preventing HCC recurrence after surgical resection.
