Overview
GasK7B (Gassericin K7B) is a Class IIb two-peptide bacteriocin (antimicrobial peptide) being developed by Osel Solutions in collaboration with MD Anderson Cancer Center. It selectively targets oncogenic pathotypes of *Lactobacillus iners* in the vaginal microbiome, which are associated with resistance to cisplatin and radiation in cervical cancer patients. By inhibiting these specific strains, GasK7B aims to modulate the microbiome to improve treatment outcomes and reduce recurrence when used as an adjunct to chemoradiation therapy. It is currently in preclinical development.
