Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GASOKEY-DSR is a branded generic fixed-dose combination medication marketed by JoY Pharma for the management of gastrointestinal conditions such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), dyspepsia, and peptic ulcers. It consists of two active ingredients: pantoprazole and domperidone. Pantoprazole is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) that suppresses gastric acid production by covalently binding to and inhibiting the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme system at the secretory surface of the gastric parietal cell. Domperidone is a peripheral dopamine D2 receptor antagonist that functions as a prokinetic agent, increasing lower esophageal sphincter pressure and accelerating gastric emptying. The "DSR" designation indicates a sustained-release formulation, typically applied to the domperidone component to provide prolonged therapeutic effects and allow for once-daily dosing.
