Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GastimunHP is a combination product designed to support the treatment of peptic ulcer disease associated with Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection. It combines Lactobacillus johnsonii (L. johnsonii), a probiotic, and Immunoglobulin Y (IgY). L. johnsonii and IgY have demonstrated the ability to reduce the amount and activity of H. pylori in the human stomach, thereby aiming to improve the clearance of the bacterium and enhance patient tolerance to H. pylori treatment regimens. The product was investigated in a clinical trial for its effectiveness in improving H. pylori clearance over six to eight weeks of treatment and mitigating side effects.
