Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GastroBalance Reflu is an over-the-counter medical device developed and marketed by Kwizda Pharma for the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), heartburn, and associated symptoms such as acid reflux, dry cough, and dysphagia. Unlike traditional pharmacological treatments, it operates through a physical, four-fold mechanism of action. The product contains galactomannans from fenugreek seeds, which create a mechanical bio-barrier on top of the stomach contents to prevent reflux; wild mallow extract (*Malva sylvestris*) and sodium hyaluronate, which form a protective film on the esophageal mucosa and support the regeneration of irritated tissue; and calcium carbonate and sodium bicarbonate, which neutralize gastric acid. It is available in oral formulations, including direct-stick sachets and chewable tablets, and is suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
