Overview

GB-2006 is a long-acting, sustained-release injectable formulation of bupivacaine being developed by G2G Bio for the management of post-operative pain in veterinary medicine. The drug utilizes G2G Bio's proprietary InnoLamp (Innovative Long-Acting MicroParticle) technology, which encapsulates the local anesthetic within biodegradable PLGA (poly lactic-co-glycolic acid) microparticles. This formulation is designed to provide a controlled, extended release of bupivacaine at the surgical site, offering prolonged local analgesia and reducing the need for systemic pain management, such as opioids, in animals following surgery.
