Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GB-5313 is an investigational sustained-release therapeutic candidate being developed by G2G Bio for the treatment of osteoarthritis. The drug utilizes G2G Bio's proprietary InnoLamp (Innovative Long-Acting MicroParticle) technology, which involves encapsulating an active pharmaceutical ingredient within biodegradable PLGA (poly lactic-co-glycolic acid) microspheres. This delivery system is designed to provide controlled, uniform drug release over extended periods—specifically targeting durations of one, three, or six months—following a single intra-articular injection. The goal of the program is to provide long-term pain management and improve patient convenience by reducing the frequency of clinical visits for joint injections. As of early 2024, the candidate is in the discovery and preclinical development stage.
