Overview

GB-7103 is a long-acting, sustained-release formulation of goserelin developed using G2G Bio's proprietary InnoLamp (Innovative Long-Acting MicroParticle) technology. It is designed for the treatment of prostate cancer, providing therapeutic efficacy over one-month (1M) or three-month (3M) intervals following a single injection. Goserelin is a synthetic decapeptide analogue of naturally occurring gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). As a GnRH receptor agonist, it initially stimulates the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), but chronic administration leads to down-regulation of the GnRH receptors in the pituitary gland. This results in a profound reduction in LH secretion and a subsequent drop in serum testosterone to castrate levels, which is a standard approach for treating androgen-sensitive prostate cancer. The InnoLamp technology utilizes biodegradable polymer microparticles to ensure consistent drug release and improved patient compliance compared to traditional implant formulations.
