Overview
GB-AD22 (also known as GB-AOS-2) is a topical lipid-based formulation developed by GlycosBio for the treatment of atopic dermatitis (eczema). Utilizing GlycosBio's proprietary Activated Oil System (AOS) platform, GB-AD22 consists of modified plant oils (such as monoacylglycerols and free fatty acids) designed to selectively target and reduce the abundance of *Staphylococcus aureus* on the skin while preserving commensal bacteria and increasing overall microbial diversity. GB-AD22 has been evaluated in clinical studies to assess its safety, efficacy, and impact on the skin microbiome following atopic dermatitis flare-ups.
