Overview

GB-AF-023 is an investigational oral therapeutic candidate developed by GAT Biosciences for the treatment of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). It is designed to target and inhibit Tumor Necrosis Factor-like Ligand 1A (TL1a), a cytokine belonging to the TNF superfamily that is a key mediator of mucosal inflammation and intestinal fibrosis. By neutralizing TL1a activity, GB-AF-023 aims to provide a targeted anti-inflammatory effect within the gastrointestinal tract. The program is currently in the discovery and preclinical stages, with the developer exploring oral delivery modalities, which may include either an oral biologic (such as an antibody) or a small molecule inhibitor.
