Overview

GB-AOS-2 is a clinical-stage topical therapeutic candidate developed by GlycosBio for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. It is based on the company's proprietary Activated Oil System (AOS), which utilizes engineered lipid technologies to improve the delivery and performance of bioactive molecules. GB-AOS-2 is designed to manage the skin microbiome by selectively targeting pathogens such as *Staphylococcus aureus* while preserving commensal bacteria, thereby restoring microbial diversity and strengthening the skin barrier. In clinical assessments, the formulation has been evaluated for its ability to improve clinical scores (such as the Atopic Dermatitis Severity Index) and reduce lesion-associated dysbiosis by repairing the underlying lipid organization of the skin.
