Overview

GB-CF20 (also known as GB-AOS-1 or EMO-ONS) is an investigational, ready-to-drink enzyme-modified oil oral nutritional supplement (EMO-ONS) developed by GlycosBio. It is designed using the company's proprietary Activated Oil System platform to provide highly bioavailable nutritional lipids for patients with cystic fibrosis who suffer from exocrine pancreatic insufficiency (EPI). GB-CF20 is formulated to bypass the need for pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy (PERT) by delivering pre-digested or easily absorbable lipids, essential fatty acids, amino acids, vitamins, and minerals, thereby addressing malnutrition without the gastrointestinal side effects associated with PERT.
