Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GB001 is an investigational oral small molecule developed by Gossamer Bio. It functions as a potent and highly selective antagonist of the prostaglandin D2 receptor (DP2), also known as CRTH2. This mechanism aims to inhibit the recruitment and activation of airway eosinophils, thereby reducing inflammation. It was being developed as an add-on maintenance treatment for moderate-to-severe uncontrolled asthma and was also investigated for chronic rhinosinusitis. Gossamer Bio acquired the rights to GB001 through the acquisition of AA Biopharma and its subsidiary Pulmagen Therapeutics (Asthma) Limited in 2018.
