Overview
GB08 is a long-acting growth hormone developed as an Fc-fusion protein using recombinant DNA technology. Specifically, the human growth hormone (hGH) gene is linked to a human IgG4-Fc segment gene, resulting in a fusion protein with extended half-life and improved pharmacokinetics compared to conventional growth hormone therapies. The drug is designed to address pediatric growth hormone deficiency syndrome, aiming to improve patient safety, convenience, and compliance by reducing injection frequency. GB08 represents the first Class I innovative drug independently developed by Kexing Biopharm since its listing on the STAR Market and marks a significant advancement in long-acting protein therapeutics for pediatric patients[2][4][5][9].
