Overview

GB10 is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody Fab fragment designed to target and inhibit vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A). Developed by Shenzhen Kexing Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., GB10 is currently in clinical development for the treatment of neovascular age-related macular degeneration (nAMD). By binding to VEGF-A, the drug prevents the interaction of VEGF with its receptors (VEGFR1 and VEGFR2) on the surface of endothelial cells, thereby suppressing angiogenesis and vascular permeability in the retina. This mechanism aims to reduce the vision loss associated with the growth of abnormal blood vessels and subsequent fluid leakage in the macula. GB10 is administered as an intravitreal injection and is being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials to determine its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in patients with nAMD.
