Overview

GB100 is a topical small molecule therapeutic candidate developed by Galleon Bio, currently in Phase 2 clinical development for the treatment of radiodermatitis (RD) and chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN). The formulation is based on strontium nitrate. Strontium ions (Sr2+) are known to act as selective inhibitors of sensory nerve activation, specifically targeting type C nociceptors that transmit pain and itch signals. By modulating these nociceptive pathways, GB100 aims to provide localized relief from the skin irritation and neuropathic pain associated with cancer treatments without the systemic side effects or skin thinning often seen with corticosteroids.
