GB232 is a biosimilar to adalimumab (Humira), a monoclonal antibody developed by Genor BioPharma for the treatment of autoimmune diseases. In June 2013, Genor BioPharma licensed GB232 to Biocnd of Korea, granting rights for South Asia, Southeast/Northeast Asia (excluding Greater China), and Russia. Biocnd is responsible for international clinical development and registration in these specified regions. Walvax Biotechnology acquired a majority stake in Genor BioPharma in January 2014, strategically expanding into the monoclonal antibody development sector.
