GB241 + CHOP is a combination regimen consisting of GB241, a biosimilar of rituximab, and the multi-agent chemotherapeutic combination known as CHOP, which contains cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin hydrochloride (hydroxydaunomycin), vincristine sulfate (Oncovin), and prednisone. GB241 is a monoclonal antibody targeting CD20 on B cells, used primarily for the treatment of B-cell malignancies, acting by inducing cell death through mechanisms including antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity and complement-dependent cytotoxicity. CHOP is a widely used protocol for treating non-Hodgkin lymphoma, operating via several mechanisms: cyclophosphamide is an alkylating agent causing DNA crosslinking and strand breakage; doxorubicin inhibits topoisomerase II, causing DNA damage; vincristine inhibits microtubule formation, arresting cell division; and prednisone is a corticosteroid with lympholytic effects. The combination GB241 + CHOP is used as first-line therapy for diffuse large B-cell lymphoma and other B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphomas, aiming to maximize response rates by targeting malignant B cells, impeding cell division, and triggering apoptosis.
