Overview

GBM6-AD lysate is an allogeneic tumor cell lysate derived from the GBM6-AD glioblastoma cell line, specifically utilized as an antigenic component in dendritic cell-based immunotherapies. Developed primarily at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), the lysate serves as a source of diverse tumor-associated antigens (TAAs). In clinical applications, autologous dendritic cells are harvested from a patient, pulsed with the GBM6-AD lysate, and then re-administered to the patient. This process is intended to prime the patient's immune system to recognize and mount a polyclonal T-cell response against the heterogeneous antigen profile of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). It has been investigated in Phase 1 and Phase 2 clinical trials for both newly diagnosed and recurrent glioblastoma, often in conjunction with immune adjuvants like TLR agonists.
