Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GBP511 is a broadly protective sarbecovirus vaccine candidate developed by SK Bioscience. It is a recombinant protein subunit vaccine designed to elicit immune responses against a range of sarbecoviruses, including SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV. The vaccine candidate is being evaluated in a Phase 1/2 clinical trial (NCT05810142) to assess its safety, reactogenicity, and immunogenicity in healthy adults. The study investigates different dosage levels and the inclusion of the CAS-1 adjuvant to enhance the immune response. GBP511-A and GBP511-B represent specific candidate formulations or components being tested within the clinical program to identify the most effective broadly protective vaccine strategy. The vaccine aims to induce both neutralizing antibodies and cell-mediated immunity (CMI) to provide broad protection against current and future sarbecovirus variants.
