Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**GBV-006** is an investigational, orally administered combination of two repurposed small-molecule drugs developed from research at Stanford University and licensed worldwide to Globavir. It was described as a host-directed broad-spectrum antiviral combination intended to interfere with host-cell vesicular-trafficking machinery needed for viral entry, assembly, and egress. Globavir evaluated the program preclinically for dengue and other viral illnesses and partnered with the SingHealth Duke-NUS Academic Medical Centre to support research and potential clinical evaluation in dengue and chikungunya; the individual active ingredients and their molecular targets have not been publicly disclosed.
