GC-1116

GC-1116 is an MF59-adjuvanted monovalent H1N1 influenza vaccine developed by Green Cross (now GC Pharma) in Korea, marketed under the brand name Greenflu-S Plus, for the prevention of influenza A/H1N1 infection. It contains inactivated H1N1 influenza virus antigen formulated with the oil-in-water emulsion adjuvant MF59 to enhance innate and adaptive immune responses, thereby increasing antibody titers and immunogenicity particularly in adults and the elderly. GC-1116 has been evaluated in clinical trials for safety and immunogenicity as a seasonal or pandemic H1N1 vaccine, with intramuscular administration prior to influenza exposure to induce protective humoral immunity.[3][5]
