Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GC001 is an oncolytic vaccinia virus developed by Hangzhou Gongchu Biotechnology. It functions as a STRIP1 (striatin interacting protein 1) inhibitor. As an oncolytic virus therapy, it is designed to selectively infect and destroy cancer cells while also potentially stimulating an immune response against the tumor. The drug is currently being investigated in Phase 1 clinical trials for various advanced solid tumors, including high-grade glioma, breast cancer, and recurrent or progressive gliomas of the brain.
