Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GC01 is a synthetic anti-tumor peptide developed by GlioCure that selectively inhibits tubulin beta 3 chain (TUBB3) polymerization in tumor cells overexpressing TUBB3, blocking cell division in a tumor-specific manner. It has demonstrated in vivo activity against glioblastoma models and is intended for combination with delivery devices like Defymed's ExOlin® for prolonged administration in brain tumors. Primarily targeting high-grade glioblastoma and other TUBB3-overexpressing solid tumors such as triple-negative breast cancer, it addresses resistance to standard therapies.
