Overview

GC027F is an investigational, allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed using the proprietary TruUCAR platform. It is engineered to target the CD7 antigen, which is highly expressed in various T-cell malignancies, including T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) and T-cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (T-LBL). As an "off-the-shelf" therapy, GC027F is derived from healthy donor T-cells rather than the patient's own cells. To ensure safety and efficacy in an allogeneic setting, the cells undergo genetic modification to disrupt the T-cell receptor (TCR) to prevent graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) and to eliminate CD7 expression on the CAR-T cells themselves to prevent fratricide. This approach aims to provide a rapid, scalable treatment option for patients with relapsed or refractory T-cell cancers who may not have the time or sufficient healthy cells for autologous CAR-T production.
