Overview

GC1107 is a bivalent diphtheria-tetanus toxoid (Td) vaccine developed by Green Cross Corporation (GC Biopharma) for the prevention of diphtheria and tetanus infections. The vaccine is composed of purified diphtheria and tetanus toxoids, which are inactivated forms of the toxins produced by *Corynebacterium diphtheriae* and *Clostridium tetani*, respectively. It was developed using an optimized manufacturing process that includes fermentation followed by gel filtration purification to ensure high purity and safety. Clinical evaluation in Phase III trials has demonstrated that GC1107 is non-inferior in immunogenicity and safety to existing licensed Td vaccines in healthy adults and adolescents. The vaccine was developed to support South Korea's domestic vaccine supply and is typically administered as a single intramuscular injection.
