**GC1118** is a novel fully human monoclonal antibody targeting **epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR)**, developed by **GC Biopharma**. It binds to a distinct epitope different from cetuximab and panitumumab, exhibiting enhanced blocking activity against both low- and high-affinity EGFR ligands such as EGF and TGF-α, leading to superior inhibition of EGFR signaling and cell proliferation compared to other anti-EGFR antibodies. Preclinical studies demonstrated stronger antitumor effects in cell lines, animal models, and patient-derived xenografts, including activity against cancers resistant to prior anti-EGFR therapies. It has been evaluated in clinical trials primarily for **recurrent/metastatic colorectal cancer (CRC)** (including KRAS wild-type and resistant cases) and **EGFR-amplified glioblastoma**, showing promising preliminary efficacy such as partial responses in heavily pretreated CRC patients, though phase II results in glioblastoma did not meet primary endpoints.
