GC502 (TruUCAR CD19/CD7) is an investigational, allogeneic, dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy developed by Gracell Biotechnologies (a subsidiary of AstraZeneca). Built on the proprietary TruUCAR platform, GC502 is engineered to simultaneously target both CD19 and CD7 antigens, primarily for the treatment of B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL). The TruUCAR design is intended to overcome the limitations of autologous CAR-T therapies by providing an "off-the-shelf" product that is resistant to host-versus-graft (HvG) rejection, potentially eliminating the need for complex patient-specific manufacturing and intensive lymphodepletion. The dual-targeting approach aims to enhance therapeutic efficacy and reduce the risk of antigen escape. It is currently being evaluated in Phase 1 clinical trials.
