Overview

GC506 is an investigational, autologous, dual-targeting chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Gracell Biopharma (now a subsidiary of AstraZeneca) for the treatment of relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML). It is built on the proprietary FasTCAR platform, which enables next-day manufacturing (22-36 hours), significantly reducing the "vein-to-vein" time compared to traditional CAR-T processes. GC506 is engineered to simultaneously target two myeloid-associated antigens, CD33 and CLL-1 (CLEC12A), to address the clonal heterogeneity of AML and minimize the risk of immune escape. The therapy is currently being evaluated in investigator-initiated trials (IIT) to assess its safety and preliminary efficacy.
