Overview

GC508 is a dual-targeting, allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Gracell Biotechnologies (now a subsidiary of AstraZeneca). It is engineered to target both B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA) and CD7, specifically for the treatment of multiple myeloma. The therapy utilizes Gracell's proprietary TruUCAR platform, which enables the generation of off-the-shelf CAR-T cells from healthy donor T cells. This approach aims to provide a more accessible treatment option compared to autologous therapies by eliminating the need for patient-specific manufacturing and potentially reducing the requirement for intensive lymphodepletion and additional immunosuppressive drugs.
