GCC2004 (also known as AB-202) is an allogeneic chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-engineered natural killer (NK) cell therapy being developed by GC Cell, a subsidiary of GC Group. It is designed to target CD19, a protein widely expressed on the surface of B-cell malignancies. By utilizing NK cells instead of T cells, this therapy aims to provide an "off-the-shelf" (allogeneic) treatment option that may reduce the risk of graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) and cytokine release syndrome (CRS) compared to traditional autologous CAR-T therapies. The CAR-NK cells are engineered to recognize and eliminate CD19-positive B-cell lymphoma cells through direct NK cell-mediated cytotoxicity. GCC2004 is currently in the preclinical stage of development for the treatment of B-cell lymphoma.
