Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GCK-01 is an allogeneic gamma delta T (γδ T) cell therapy being developed by Shanghai Jingshan Biotechnology for the treatment of hematologic malignancies, specifically relapsed or refractory follicular lymphoma. γδ T cells are a unique subset of T lymphocytes that combine innate and adaptive immune features, capable of recognizing tumor cells in a non-MHC-restricted manner. GCK-01 is designed to be used in combination with monoclonal antibodies like rituximab to enhance anti-tumor activity through antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC), leveraging the high expression of CD16 on the γδ T cells. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase I clinical trials to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in adult patients.
