Drug intelligence / Profile preview
GCM-102 is an HSV-1-based oncolytic virus developed by Gencellmed for the treatment of solid tumors. The therapeutic is engineered using Gencellmed's proprietary SMART (Synthetic & Multi-Antigen Retargeting Technology) platform, which is designed to enable the virus to selectively target and infect cancer cells while minimizing impact on healthy tissues. By utilizing a replication-competent herpes simplex virus type 1 (HSV-1) backbone, GCM-102 aims to induce direct oncolysis of tumor cells and stimulate a systemic anti-tumor immune response. The program is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
